Wake Tech is excited to welcome Tim Humphrey as its new provost of Information Technology and Business programs and the RTP Campus.
In this role, Humphrey will provide strategic and operational leadership for Wake Tech’s Information Technology and Business & Professional Services divisions while also overseeing operations and partnerships at the RTP Campus. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the college continues to expand its workforce-aligned programs in support of regional economic growth and student success.
Humphrey brings more than 30 years of global leadership experience from IBM and Lenovo, where he has held senior executive roles across data analytics, artificial intelligence, enterprise operations, software development, supply chain and innovation. He holds multiple patents and has received numerous management, innovation and excellence awards for his contributions to the computing industry. In 2018, he was inducted into North Carolina State University’s Electrical and Computing Engineering Hall of Fame.
