Grad Nutrition Students Volunteer for Poe Center Program

Students in Meredith’s graduate nutrition program have been volunteering through a Poe Center program that provides meals to children during the summer months.

“The Poe Center’s SUN Meals Program provides free, nutritious meals to children under the age of 18 during the summer months. Many children lack reliable access to healthy meals when school is out, so this program aims to fill that gap in access to nutritious foods,” said Ashley Madeyski, ’27, who is a student in Meredith’s Master of Science DPD-Nutrition Program.

Attendance varies week to week, but typically the program is able to serve up to 60 meals each Wednesday. See the full article here.
